Mr Bobby Anand is a renowned consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon based in London and Surrey. He is extensively trained and skilled in all aspects of knee surgery.
He has mastered numerous procedures, such as knee arthroscopy, for managing a wide variety of knee-related ailments. This includes issues affecting the meniscus and the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). He is also an expert in the management of knee arthritis as well as sports traumatology and is an experienced practitioner of Mako robotic surgery.
Having trained under some of the best knee surgeons in the world, Mr Anand has acquired considerable knowledge in treating professional athletes. He applies these principles to all of his patients, regardless of their athletic level.
His passions within knee surgery are sports injuries and patella instability. In fact, Mr Anand is one of only a handful of surgeons in the UK who is fellowship-trained in trochleoplasty surgery, a procedure for stabilising the patella, and is working to establish a tertiary referral practice in this area.
His research interests are focused around getting patients back to sport or high-level function after knee surgery. Furthermore, he is enthusiastic about training and teaching. Mr Anand plays an active role in training junior doctors, including GP trainees and future orthopaedic surgeons. He also teaches on international courses around the world training established consultants and senior trainees on sports knee surgery and joint replacement surgery.
